Move 4 Good Preparation

MOVE FOR GOOD A

As you prepare for wellness using the Move 4 Good campaign consider your lifestyle and the changes you want to make:

  • Evaluate your fitness level –do you currently workout and eat healthy. Regular exercise can help you control your weight, reduce your risk of heart disease, and strengthen your bones and muscles. But if it's been awhile since you've exercised and you have health issues or concerns, it's a good idea to talk to your doctor before starting a new exercise routine.
  • Set a goal – Be smart and set realistic, specific, measurable attainable, time frame-specific goals could be weight loss, disease management, a movement challenge; or event to have more healthy family fun.
  • Control your environment – know what may cause you to not reach you goal, like snacking on your kids snacks
  • Visualize yourself engaging in a new and healthy behaviors
  • Look to our 2020 Wellness Champions as role models and supportive people
  • Set a time to Move 4 Good – daily, weekly, individually or in a group
  • Reward yourself for progress
