Spaces Important Information

Greetings,

Meeting space is available to rent at the Laborers’ District Council Education and Training Fund for non-profit organizations for charitable and training purposes. If you are renting a room(s) for authorized activities and purposes, there is no room charge.  There is a charge for catering and labor. 

Requirements for renting:

  • You must complete the on-line rental application at www.ldc-phila-vic.org/spaces/
  • You must provide a copy of your IRS determination letter as proof you 501.c.3 status
  • You must provide a certificate of insurance - sample document
  • You must complete leasing agreement form.

Additional information:

  • If you are renting a room(s) for authorized activities and purposes, there is no room charge. There will be a charge for the catering and labor.
  • Sodexo food service is our in-house caterer. If using our in-house caterer, please contact  our Chef Manager 610-524-0404 ext. 1206.
  • You may hire an outside caterer; however, a Serve Safe certificate must be sent to me 10 days prior to the event.  The person holding the certification mut be present for the event.  Additional licenses and paperwork may be required.  The outside caterer will not have use of any appliances, refrigerators, or freezers.  Outside caterers are responsible for linen and ice.  You may be billed for a cleaning fee if the kitchen is not cleaned prior to departing.  If your caterer requires access to the prep kitchen more than two hours prior to the start of the event, there will be an additional charge.
  • Deposits are due ten calendar days prior to the start of the event unless stated otherwise. The event will be canceled without notice if the deposit and insurance documents are not received.  We only accept checks. 
  • Final cost cannot be determined until your plans are finalized.  Deposits may be estimated if your plans are not finalized two weeks prior to the event date. 
  • Checks should be sent to 1333 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, Pa. 19122
  • Please notify us of large items/boxes/decorations/catering supplies as they should be brought in through the loading dock on Thompson Street (for the Philadelphia location).
  • Parking is on a first come first serve basis renting at the facility.  For the Philadelphia location, the address to the parking lot is 1371 W. Thompson St., Philadelphia, Pa. 19122
