No longer can labor and management afford to meet only across the bargaining table. For employers to compete in today's marketplace, they need to form a solid partnership with labor and with the government. LECET exists to help make that relationship happen. How? By bringing the resources and focusing them, to achieve the common goal more work for our members and for our signatory employers. In other words, more work for the community.

We do this in a number of ways. We provide marketing assistance to our contractors, helping them communicate their message. LECET assists with business development by exploring new markets and building long-term relationships that result in contract awards. We work closely with the government, federal, state, and local to stay ahead of changing legislative trends and to represent the interests of our members and contractors. At both the local and national levels, LECET is building a computer and communications infrastructure to provide state-of-the-art project tracking and analysis. We are constantly researching new markets and opportunities, and providing advice on how to use them.

LECET is proud of its role at the forefront of labor-management cooperation. We are also the proud hosts of the LDC's Web site, and we will be working hard to make it a valuable resource.
