What Traveling Members Need to Do

To make sure that you receive credit for the fund contributions earned when traveling, you must:

• PRIOR to working outside the jurisdictional area of the Laborers? District Council of the Metropolitan Area of Philadelphia and Vicinity which includes Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia County make sure that the benefit funds in the jurisdiction you?re traveling to are signed to a reciprocal Agreement with our local funds. 

• Please note that Federal Law does not allow our funds to receive contributions from any fund that  it does NOT have a reciprocal agreement with. Therefore,  if you travel to a jurisdiction that we do not have a reciprocal agreement with your contributions cannot be transferred to our fund. (List of Reciprocal Jurisdictions)

• Sign an Employee Reciprocal Authorization Form obtained from this website or from the Fund Office and mail or fax copies to Laborers' Benefit Funds, 665 North Broad Street, 1st Floor, Philadelphia, Pa 19123. Attention: Remittance Bookeeping Department
