When Do You Become Eligible?
- You become eligible on the first day of the fourth month you are employed in Covered Employment, if you have worked at least 172 hours during the preceding three months for an employer who is required to make contributions on your behalf pursuant to a collective bargaining agreement.
- Eligibility will continue for each month thereafter following the completion of at least 172 hours, during the preceding three-month period. For example, you will be covered effective April 1 if you worked a total of 172 hours during the months of December, January and February. Coverage will continue for the month of May if you worked a minimum of 172 hours for the period of January, February and March, etc.
