THE LABORERS' DISTRICT COUNCIL HEALTH & SAFETY FUND OF PHILADELPHIA & VICINITY

Our mission is to design and embrace contractor competitiveness and to protect the occupational health and safety of Laborers and their families.

The Fund intends to do the following:

a)    Customize site and safety plans and safety training and information to reduce accidents, injuries and workers compensation costs;

b)    On site safety assistance that helps contractors solve difficult safety problems;

c)    Health and Wellness Programs to maintain a healthy and productive work force;

d)    Innovative research which helps prevent occupational illnesses and injuries;

e)    Expert safety and regulation advice to ease contractor compliance;

f)      Create a marketing/advertising program setting forth the needs of occupational health and safety for Laborers in the field.
