....Mission Statement Continued
The laborer today - and tomorrow - must be a problem solver. A self starter, who completes assigned tasks, requires less supervision and direction, while adding value to the project at hand. Tomorrow's laborer must be well versed in technology, and capable of adapting as that technology - indeed as the industry itself - changes.
A trained laborer is a safer, more productive, and a less costly employee - an employee who understands that future employment is based on profitable projects for the employer. This mutually reliant relationship forms basis for the close Labor/Management partnership that our members and signatory contractors enjoy today. It is a partnership that is built on close cooperation between Labor and Management, and a mutual commitment to delivering safe, productive and profitable construction services.
